Ron Kyle is a great supporter of these types of contests, a really rare class act. Joe www.greencoffeebuyingclub.com "where freinds get together and split bags of coffee"

Just so there's no confusion, the PRIZE for winning first place is an RK drum and motor. Ron cannot enter his unit, since commercial roasting equipment is not eligible, only homebuilt roasters are. No winners have been chosen yet. There are 5 days left! Dan

I'd think that someone with enough creativity and ability to build a winning roaster would also appreciate another wonderful way to roast coffee. I have probably a dozen or more roasting devices I've bought or built that I still use from time to time. Heck, I build my own drums but I wouldn't mind having a RK setup too. Ya can't have too many ways to roast coffee! Hey, Homeroasters.org is doing the best we can with what we have. It's not like we are funded by a foundation grant! Most of the prizes are coming from the admins pocket's. Ron was gracious enough to offer his roaster as a prize. Since it has the highest cash value it became first prize. Now if you would like to donate something, say, $500 we'll be pleased to offer the first place winner something else. PayPal is acceptable. Dan

PayPal is acceptable. Dan My apologies Dan, no offence intended. It is just a little ironic. And you are right very gracious of Ron to come to the party. Just if I built up a roaster that i was quite proud of and it was good enough to win i don't know that a prize of another roaster would be of interest to me. (am just digging a bigger hole for myself here). Now 100lbs of Tom's best offerings. But Ron came to the party Tom didn't. Rob

And a few of the prizes do involve green coffee. I'm putting up five pounds of Colombian 'La Estrella' Rainforest for the contest myself. -- ********************* Ed Needham "to absurdity and beyond!" http://www.homeroaster.com ********************* "Dan Bollinger" <danNObollinger@insightSPAMbb.com > wrote in message news:o7ednQGQZb8vaDTbnZ2dnUVZ_qCgnZ2d@insightbb.com... >> My apologies Dan, no offence intended.
