Anyone know where to find one of these sold singly, or maybe in small (2/3/4) sets? The only place I can find these (mostly restaurant supply stores) sell them in sets of 12. <http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/602-1788562-4608605? asin=B0000A2I05 > I had one printed with the name of a former employer. It was given out during out new employee orientation. That one has since been damaged. I remember Peet's Coffee locations used to stock them until they were sold off at closeout prices. I can find the clear glass version at Bed Bath & Beyond for $2.50 each, but it's not the same. These are my ideal coffee mugs. I remember dropping the contents of my "3 cup" Bodum press pot into that mug which I then periodically stirred whenever the sediment settled to the bottom.

I guess storing a half-dozen isn't that bad an idea. I know firsthand they do break and get scratched.

I went to a couple places and didn't find them individually, but here is a suggestion. Go to http://froogle.com and search for "Libbey Classic Cobalt Coffee Mugs " On the right side of the page are a number of companies who may sell small quantities. Ebay has a few with decorations but not what you wanted. If Target (or another company) sells only cases, email the store buyer or a few stores and see if they have an partial lot. Perhaps they will send you one. If in the US and you have stores like Big Lots, Odd Lots, Ross, etc, scour them too. Perhaps even stop into a store like Cost Plus/World ket. You never know what you will find at these places. Besides the search engines and mega search engines (like Metacrawler.com) some other places may not be so obvious... Post a request on Ebay's Want It Now http://pages.ebay.com/help/specialtysites/questions/win_overview.html Post it on Craigslist.org Buy a case (perhaps with free shipping) and sell small lots on Ebay, making enough to pay off your own cup in the process. If you cannot sell enough that way, save 1 or two in case of an accident and put small bags of coffee in each and send them as gifts. -- They said that someone has to live in Hawaii and I raised my hand first!
