was in the IRAQ war after 911 for 6mons. and they gave me
2Bronze Stars and 2Purple Harts i do not want them -
putting them on ebay for $5.00ea.
I am heading eastbound on Memorial reaching Boulevard.
Approximately10 feet prior to the light the signal
changes to yellow. Obviously having no time to stop
safely I continue through the light at which time,
according to the officer, the light turned red while
I was in the middle of the intersection. I was not
trying to look at the light while I was going
through the intersection do to unsafe reasons.
The office told me he was giving me a citation because
the light turned red while I was in the middle
of the intersection.
I don't know if this situation has another bearing
on the matter, but the officer who initially came up
to me appeared to be the officer who happened to be
training another officer in the police car. After the
initial officer came to my window, he asked me for my
driver's license and insurance. I could not find my
insurance at the moment, so he told me to continue
looking for it while he went back to his car to check
my license. For the next six minutes the lead officer
appeared to calling 911 be explaining things to the
in-training officer as if he was teaching him how do the
ticket. After the time elapsed, second officer came out
to my car and asked me for my insurance and then gave me
the citation. I don't know if that has any bearing on the
citation, but nonetheless, I could not have stopped safely
when the light initially turned yellow. I understand that
the yellow light is a yield to begin slowing down, but
I could not have done that safely with the distance I had
left to stop and the cars behind me.
Any ideas?

I've never seen those 'jumper' photos before. Thanks for the link; they
should be seen, in the same way it's important for people to view the
photos of Holocaust victims .. we should never forget what apalling
acts mankind is capable of committing against mankind. . They have to
be some of the most moving, most absolutely tragic pics I've ever seen,
and really bring home the horrendous imbecilic enormity of the
terrorist action. To bring such absolute sudden death to innocents in
this way cannot be condoned in any way whatsovever. It just wrenches
your heart. And that's regardless of whether you disapprove of the Iraq
morass or not.
