What kind of chocolate powder or liquid do you recommend to add to
coffee? Is powder or liquid more effective?
Whenever I add choc powder to Starbucks coffee, it tastes awful, even
sour.

I sometimes add a little Hershey's liquid. I like the Penzey's powder
better, though:

I use 1/2 teaspoon of powder and a splash of milk for a mug.
Last summer at church camp, I thought I'd try the hot chocolate. They
used two gallons of milk, sugar and cocoa powder. I mixed it half and
half with coffee, since I don't like sweet drinks. I had to throw it
out. It was still too sweet. The kids liked it, though. It was always
gone by mid-morning (it was kept in an insulated dispenser).

I use a powdered chocolate from Ghiradelli. You might like the chocolate
creamer from Nestle, too.

I used to use Ghiradelli powdered COCOA, is that what you mean? Cocao and
chocolate and similar, but not synonymous. Dan

The very best form is pure shaved chocolate. If you don't
feel like shaving it yourself you can buy something
like this from L.A. Burdick, which is very high quality.
