Subject: Another Potential La Pavoni Purchase & Question
With all the recent questions about La Pavoni I looked at their
website with interest. Although I'm impressed with their equipment
I'm at a loss to understand what the technical differences between the
Europiccola and the Stradivari 8-cup models are.

Clearly the Stradivari is the newer model but what actually is
different about those two units?

If, consulting the website lapavoni.com, and having selected the info for
the Lusso, you then click on "PDF Catalogues" for technical specifications
and "PDF Manuales" for method of operation, you'll find that there are no
technical or functional differences at all between the Stradivari and the
Europiccola models . . . Appearance is the only difference (they even weigh
the same).

I haven't looked at this model, but I hope that if they've changed
anything I hope it was the 51mm filter. It's impossible to pull an
honest double with the small 49/51mm filters (granted the singles you
get from a LP can be excellent if done properly).

It looks strictly cosmetic. Curved handle and contoured base. I
doubt there's a lick of functional difference between any of the
lever machines.
