I'd have gotten around to the torch eventually, but he suggested it outright. Go get two attaboys outta petty cash, Barry. (quoting Hawkeye Pearce). I pulled out the hot wrench and went to it. Still took a lot of pounding and leaning on a 3/4" rachet. It finally gave and now the tank is in a bucket of citric acid wash. I posted a pic to show the "chaff" that had formed on the heating element and fallen into the bottom of the tank. The element still works fine, but will be replaced. The tank was pretty clean except for the junk falling into it from the element. http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f209/bernie10/hitchball%20tamper/?sc=3 Bernie

That or turn it off; I find the incorrect date distracting (sigh, I can't help my fetishes) -- M for N in address to mail reply

It is distracting now that you mention it. Bernie
