I seem to be on the Comex (?) list to be notified about coffee beans:) and here is the latest offering. http://www.comexinternational.com/listings/listing_detail.cfm?aucID=182934652 I notice there are literal barges for sale on the site as well. I guess every ruined thing ends up here for a possible sale, but moist & moldy robusta? Yikes. Interesting... aloha, Cea roast beans to kona to email farmers of Pure Kona

Not sure why I've forgone Mexican, just that I do. And ask for Julian, so they keep telling me (likely somebody rebuilding high-end or commercial espresso machines on the side). Somehow I don't think the question is impertinent in this instance.

Actually, I wish I could get my hands on a bag of lousy beans. I mean, for cheap, of course. We need to do some test roasts in the new Open Sky roaster model, and by golly I don't want to do 15 pounds of something I won't need or can't sell. I just want to season the sucker with some coffee. Not moldy stuff, mind you -- but the beans relatively unaffected? Sure. Lousy tasting in the cup? Sure! Argh. Do you know what the response is like when you call a commercial roastery (like Intelly) and ask 'em if they have any lousy beans they want to dump for cheap? ;-) - Scott
