What's a good drip maker these days? What parameters should I look at in deciding?

I've been delighted with my bunn-o-matic I got used off ebay, adjustable temp on the thermostat, works plumbed or pour over (I went plumbed). Has the hot water dispenser on the side which is perfect for a manual drip single cup, cup of tea or the kids' hot chocolate. pic of how it looks in my kitchen here - http://faith.blackskull.us/cam/coffee_setup.jpg Stu ScratchMonkey wrote: > What's a good drip maker these days? > > What parameters should I look at in deciding?

I am a fan of manual drip brewers like the Chemex or Mellita pourover. Things to look for in a drip brewer. Water temp, insulated caraf, filter style. Water temp is the biggie and why I Iike manaul drip brewers. With a manual brewere you heat the water in a kettle, it is always hot enough. Plus the Chemex just looks cool. Shane
