Interesting site. I enjoyed the read. I am an avid bicyclist myself
and find anything about bicycles to be of interest. I did notice a
lack of mention of Carbon fiber framsets.
Speaking of Bicycles and coffee, has anyone heard of Peace coffee in
Minneapolis? They do all of their deliveries in the metro area by
bicycle, even in the Minnesota winter.

Steven,
I've been a fan of your coffee/ bicycle site for quite a while, maybe
four years. I've also found your site on folding bicycles and your
site digital camera site very helpful. Personally, I prefer to cycle
to coffee destinations (Simon's in Cambridge, Atomic Cafe in Beverly
or Marblehead) than to carry my own. Nonetheless, I appreciate your
good contributions.

Which you recommend because you are the creator of the site. Calling
it non-commercial is a tiny bit of a stretch, as you use it to make
money via Amazon referrals, a model you use for several similar sites
(digital cameras, etc.)
But since you are "one of Earth's leading authorities on coffee" and
you're providing such useful information on your site, I'll let it
slide.

Oh fercristsakes. This is as on-topic as it gets. Why is it that
anytime someone posts something new and interesting here, there's some
fool that can't wait to scream some version of "spammer" at the guy.
Give it a rest.
No reason to make an ass of yourself over it. We have enough regular
asses here patrolling our hallowed shores to keep them safe from
anyone they dislike. RandyG doesn't need any help.

I was thinking the same thing.
The website was interesting. We should encourage appropriate postings of
this sort, or, at the very least, politely tell the OP how to post without
being a nuisance.
Had he posted "I have a website about coffee and bicycles, stop by if you
want", I don't think anybody should have a problem, even if it is repeated
at intervals.

Instead the claim is
"Earth's Leading Authority on Conveying Coffee by Bicycle"
authority on carrying coffee by bicycle and authority on coffee are hardly
even related.

I don't want to drag this out, but let it not be said that I misquoted
somebody here:

It's down near the bottom of the page. The guy does seem to know his
stuff, but I don't think my peevishness was misplaced with respect to
his promotion of his semi-non-commercial site without being upfront
about it.

Every time he does I have a look and am frankly incredulous that there are
others even more dedicated to the pursuit of an acceptable beverage than I
am - i get a lot of enjoymenmt out of his site.

I wasn't knocking him. I didn't read enough of his site to find out
if he knew what he was talking about. I was criticizing the
self-promotion without disclosure. It's a pet peeve of mine. We're
all entitled to our pet peeves.
