Subject: Bought the Melitta Momentum - Should I have bought the Technivorm?

I am waiting for my machine to be delivered ($30 new from Amazon).
I was wondering how this machine compares to the Technivorm.
Price is no issue - great hot coffee is what I want
Opinions?

UPDATE
The machine arrived one week ago and this morning I poured water in -
turned the know and NOTHING
No water pour from the machine - altho the tank was hot to the touch
What a lousy outcome!!!
I am shipping it back

I just bought the Melitta and I am wondering if I did the right thing.
It just showed up and it is hot coffee
I just dont know what I am missing
I have been using a Melitta pourover forever

coffee, the Technivorm performs at a butt kicking 1475 watts! Its also
certified by SCAA to brew at the "correct" 200 degrees Fahrenheit!
(Most home brewers fall short, coming in around 185 degrees)

Test the temperature of the water at the brew point. If it is 200
degrees, then yes. If it's 185, then no.

The Technivorm is designed to deliver water to the grounds at exactly
the "right" temperature, and to do that for many years.
The Melitta Momentum was designed to make coffee fast.
It's an apples to oranges comparison, really.
