I was looking at one of these on e-bay...........can you use melita filters
on this model ?

If you set a Melitta cone on top of the Bunn Carafe, it fits like a glove
and the Melitta cone filters make the coffee taste way better. Not as good
as my Chemex, which I use for my coffee, but better than the flat bottomed
Bunn basket.

Thanks for the information Ed.........I held off bidding for the unit as
the Bunn filters are more difficult to acquire unless you order them on
line. I would never have thought of trying to use the Melitta cone top !!

If, when you get the unit that you find that it leaks, it's a design flaw at
the top where the boiler tube attaches to the upper plastic water reservoir.
A call to the Bunn hotline, it's a 1-800 number on the bunnomatic web site
will get you a free kit to fix the problem. The other problem is a scaled
up boiler from a few years of use in a hard water situation. So before you
buy ask about these things unless you want to do some repairs yourself.
