The New York Times reported favorably on cold brewed coffee (cbc). <http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/27/dining/27coff.html > Bloggers who actually drink the stuff, are equivocal of the merits of cbc. What do alties think? Is cbc worth a try? Larry

IMHO cold brew makes a very good base for iced coffee. A little vanilla extract, sugar and milk (other flavors as desired) and it can be quite enjoyable on a hot and humid day. For the purpose of reconstituting as a cup of hot coffee later, again IMHO, it is plain nasty.
