The New York Times reported favorably on cold brewed coffee (cbc).

Bloggers who actually drink the stuff, are equivocal of the merits of
cbc. What do alties think? Is cbc worth a try?

IMHO cold brew makes a very good base for iced coffee. A little vanilla
extract, sugar and milk (other flavors as desired) and it can be quite
enjoyable on a hot and humid day.

For the purpose of reconstituting as a cup of hot coffee later, again
IMHO, it is plain nasty.

Why not? You might enjoy it.
