www.costco.com has the Baby D for $330 - that's $69 less than WLL or any other retailer. It's worth a look at least. http://tinyurl.com/2s6dwp - Costco $330 http://tinyurl.com/2rw49x - WLL $499 Enjoy! -- Robert Harmon -- http://www.tinyurl.com/mb4uj - My coffee pages. http://www.tinyurl.com/2tnv87 - My 'Guidelines For Newbies' page. http://www.tinyurl.com/2cr3e2 - I have things for sale here.

Robert, does the Baby D have an easily adjustable OPV/PRV ? What is your opinion on the reliability of this machine? Thanks, Steve in Ft. Worth. there is no pressure adjustment. MAY be at costco as it is discontinued . . . and the pressure? it is guaranteed to be too high. dave www.hitechespresso.com "steve in ft. worth" <sjm008@joimail.com > wrote in message news:kytji.4271$rR.1274@newsread2.news.pas.earthlink.net... > Robert, does the Baby D have an easily adjustable OPV/PRV ? > What is your opinion on the reliability of this machine? > > Thanks, Steve in Ft. Howdy Steve! I've had the regular Baby on my workbench on several occasions, but never the "D" model, so I'll base my comments on that. The Baby has an OPV/PRV that's adjustable, but it's not an external adjustment. The hose from it must be disconnected & the top removed - this will gain access to an internal adjusting nut or screw. It seems like a bit of work while you're doing it (it's necessary to reassemble everything to test, or run the risk of water shooting out onto the electrics) but once it's done correctly it shouldn't be needed again for a long time (if ever). As for the reliability of the "D" model who cares? If you're familiar with Costco's return policy you'll recall that almost all of the goods they sell is backed by their 100% satisfaction guarantee. So if it ever fails take it back to any Costco for you're money back. Yes, your comments are appreciated. Thanks for the information. I agree that Costco has a great return policy however, they are not guaranteed to still carry the same machine if you just want a replacement of the same machine. But, thats the trade-off when not dealing with a business that services/repairs the machines that they sell. All, in all, not a bad price for "commercial size group" machine w/three-way solenoid. By the way, do you, by chance know of any good coffee places down in League City, TX. My In-Laws just moved up there (from Freeport, TX) and we plan to visit later this summer. Steve in Ft. Worth.
