Received in the mail last night, a quick clean-up on it and on to finding the "right" grind for me. So far so good. Thanks to whoever pointed me to it in the first place; this was an ebay purchase. Final price around 70 bucks, plus shipping. Now I can use the Solis for the coffee maker only. And what's the bean of choice for experimenting to find the right grind? columbian, again, as suggested on the list. yummy. Todd in Vallejo

Yep, been roasting for awhile now with a hottop. also have a bravi as backup, thanks again for the heads up on that. our staple bean is celebes/sulawesi, but have a good 30-40 lbs. of a mix of things. it's nice that sweetias is only 30 miles away, hold for pickup ensures no delay due to UPS. one of my guiding philosophies is: take care of my wife and she'll take care of me. she loves to cook, so we're sinking 86k into a new kitchen. room will be 20 x 16 when done, and we're expecting it to be done just before thanksgiving. on the island will be a raised portion, plumbed in, for the coffee maker and espresso machine. grinders on shelf below them. that's a lot of $$, but includes counters/cabinets, and a re-roof. counters are silestone, cab's ceiling to floor, and floor will be hardwood. As kitchen is done, I'll try and post a pic in the binary group of the coffee related items in the center of the kitchen :)) Todd in Vallejo Robert Harmon wrote: > > Glad you saw my post.
