Just wondering if this post made it through to alt.coffee. I figured it would generate a bit of conversation at the least. Someone at least needs to accuse me of SPAMMING the group ::::grin::::. -- ********************* Ed Needham® "to absurdity and beyond!" http://www.homeroaster.com (include [FRIEND] in subject line to get through my SPAM filters) ********************* "Ed Needham" <ed@NOSPAMhomeroaster.com > wrote in message news:_7WdnSnistZje9HbnZ2dnUVZ_vamnZ2d@insightbb.com... > Your creativity could win you a prize! Coffee beans aren't really beans, but seeds of the coffee cherry... which isn't really a cherry, but it resembles one. All coffee is green before it's roasted... http://twoloonscoffee.com/images/panama.jpg except for some aged coffee which is more of a tan color... http://twoloonscoffee.com/images/DCP00536.JPG

Red refers to the ripe coffee cherries. The beans inside are always greenish brown. Of course, 'green' also refers to being raw. Dan "Tom Line" <tline@iglou.com > wrote in message news:46b1f55a$0$27405$d94e5ade@news.iglou.com... > Where can you get ripe (red, not green) beans to roast? >
