Subject: Intelly Silver Lake Opening Tonight

For any coffee lovers around L.A. who have been vacationing in
Zanzibar and haven't heard, Intelligentsia's first non-Chicago shop is
opening tonight (Aug. 17, 2007). The Opening Party starts 7pm at 3922
W. Sunset Blvd.
They went through hell getting this place open, and it's been a long
wait.

I was there Friday right after they opened and had some WONDERFUL
coffee. I stated out with a Yirgacheffe brewed on the Clover;
followed by a single espresso (Black Cat blend); and finally a cap to
go. Hey, I had some time to kill! The staff was happy to discuss
coffee and obviously knew their stuff. Kyle suggested I try a Chemex
for my drip coffee at home and boy am I glad that I took his advice
and bought one, Chemex is fantastic. I can't wait to go back,

Not to my knowledge, although Intelligentsia may change that. There is
one coffee shop that uses their coffees here, and purports to be
company trained, but doesn't impress me with the cup....al
