Subject: LM Steam element gasket
I am replacing the element gasket on the steam boiler of my LM. Is it ok to
put 2 washer on it I can't seem to get the element to seat all the way in.
It isn't stripped. It just won't go all the way in for some reason so I
thought that maybe it calls for two gaskets? Any help will be appreciated.

Mike

My experience, and I've changed the steam boiler heating element twice
on my GS-2, is that it all fits, but closely. The Ferrari factory was
beating out car bodies with rubber mallets over old stumps well into
the sixties. La Marzoccos seem to be built in the same artisinal
fashion, but they still manage to keep the tolerances pretty close.
