I was trolling on EspressoParts.com a few months ago and discovered that if you purchase a PID kit from them they will include a "set of parameters to place into the Fuji PID unit for best results when used on La Marzocco espresso machines." I contacted them asking if this parameter set could be purchased separately and received no answer. I currently have a Fuji PID attached to my La Marzocco and I am wondering if anyone here has a good set of parameters for use with this unit. I honestly have never changed the factory default parameters on this unit. TIA, Tim Blue www.timothyblue.com

Greg, My machine is a 3 group so it is possible that your settings will not work as well as they could, but I think they will probably be better than no tweaking at all. I will find out. ~Tim On Jun 19, 11:46 am, gscace <gregory.sc...@nist.gov > wrote: > On Jun 18, 3:14 pm, Tim Blue <t...@timothyblue.com> wrote: > > > > > Thanks for the tip! > > > I found them and am looking forward to trying them out. > > > ~Tim > > > On Jun 18, 2:56 pm, Barry Jarrett <b...@rileys-coffee.com> wrote: > > > > I think they were originally posted on a.c, so search google groups: > > > PID Fuji Marzocco Scace > > > > On Mon, 18 Jun 2007 08:39:40 -0700, Tim Blue <t...@timothyblue.com> > > > wrote: > > > > >I was trolling on EspressoParts.com a few months ago and discovered > > > >that if you purchase a PID kit from them they will include a "set of > > > >parameters to place into the Fuji PID unit for best results when used > > > >on La Marzocco espresso machines." > > > > >I contacted them asking if this parameter set could be purchased > > > >separately and received no answer. > > > > >I currently have a Fuji PID attached to my La Marzocco and I am > > > >wondering if anyone here has a good set of parameters for use with > > > >this unit. The URL I found the information at is here: http://static.zoovy.com/merchant/espressoparts2/EP_PID_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf This appears to be the one from EspressoParts which has the settings on the last page. ~Tim On Jun 18, 4:20 pm, "I- >Ian" <some...@nowhere.com> wrote: > On Mon, 18 Jun 2007 12:14:38 -0700, Tim Blue <t...@timothyblue.com> > wrote: > > >Thanks for the tip! > > >I found them and am looking forward to trying them out. > > >~Tim > > A true measure of your appreciation of alt.coffee would include > posting the tiny URL of the post to the 'group. ;-)

Thanks! This may be helpful on tuning a PID. http://www.omega.com/temperature/Z/pdf/z115-117.pdf On Thu, 21 Jun 2007 11:38:22 -0700, Tim Blue <tim@timothyblue.com > wrote: >The URL I found the information at is here: > >http://static.zoovy.com/merchant/espressoparts2/EP_PID_INSTRUCTIONS.pdf > >This appears to be the one from EspressoParts which has the settings >on the last page. > >~Tim > >On Jun 18, 4:20 pm, "I->Ian" <some...@nowhere.com> wrote: >> On Mon, 18 Jun 2007 12:14:38 -0700, Tim Blue <t...@timothyblue.com> >> wrote: >> >> >Thanks for the tip! >> >> >I found them and am looking forward to trying them out. >> >> >~Tim >> >> A true measure of your appreciation of alt.coffee would include >> posting the tiny URL of the post to the 'group. ;-) >
