I'm hazarding the guess that he was trying to express his lack of interest
in the subject; however, since he was referring to a phenomenon which exists
in theory only and is, of course, immeasurable, his choice of analogy was
rather poor.
In any case, I still do have an interest in the subject (just naturally
curious), and I'm wondering if you ever did find the time to do that
heat-retention comparison between thin and thick walled cups. What have you
found out?
