Other than the plastic cover on the newly shaped brewhead, the new holes in the drip tray, and a sticker on the outside saying 'Pod Adaptable', . . . there is nothing new at all. The new OPV was already being incorporated in the "old look" machines. There is no "thermowell". Stick with success! Dave 155.5 877 286 2833

My source for Silvias even called Rancilio-USA in complete disbelief at the price, and was told "uh, that's the price" . dave www.hitechespresso.com I- >Ian wrote: > On 10 Nov 2006 22:58:55 -0800, "CoffeeKid" <Coffeekid@gmail.com> > wrote: > > > > >If this is the case, I don't think they're going to be selling many of > >them. > > Perhaps, that's the point.

I heard second hand that the pod adapter kit will cost about double what it is for other machine setups. Given what it contains, I'm surprised it's even more expensive (by about $20) than the Ascaso "pod adapter kit", which includes a new PF (the Rancilio kit doesn't). If this is the case, I don't think they're going to be selling many of them. k daveb wrote: > Also the "pod" adapter kit for Silvia will cost far more than any other > pod conversion deal > > about $70 to 80 -- or more. > > another good reason to avoid the pod. > > d > > DAve > daveb wrote: > > Other than the plastic cover on the newly shaped brewhead, > > the new holes in the drip tray, > > and a sticker on the outside saying 'Pod Adaptable', > > > > . . . there is nothing new at all. > > > > The new OPV was already being incorporated in the "old look" machines. > > > > There is no "thermowell". > > > > Stick with success! > > > > Dave > > 155.5 > > 877 286 2833

Also the "pod" adapter kit for Silvia will cost far more than any other pod conversion deal about $70 to 80 -- or more. another good reason to avoid the pod. d DAve daveb wrote: > Other than the plastic cover on the newly shaped brewhead, > the new holes in the drip tray, > and a sticker on the outside saying 'Pod Adaptable', > > . . . there is nothing new at all. > > The new OPV was already being incorporated in the "old look" machines. > > There is no "thermowell". > > Stick with success! > > Dave > 155.5 > 877 286 2833
