Subject: No steam on Isomac Tea
|
I received my new Isomac Tea about a week ago and have fully enjoyed it until this morning when the steam function did not work at all. I used the same start-up routine for the past week: 1) turn the machine on, 2) wait about 30 minuttes, 3) pull the lever to drew water through to group head. This morning I then turned the steam wand knob but nothing happend - there was no water/steam/noise. I turned the knob for the hot water tap and it worked fine. I drew some more water through to group head, waited a couple of minuttes more, but still no steam. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or can figure out what is wrong? All help is appreciated. /Johnnie Schmidt

It was the steam wand that was clogged... I don't know why I didn't think of that - properly because I'm a newbie in the espressoworld and therefore didn't think straight when my new piece of equipment didn't work properly (or maybe just because it was too early in the morning). Anyway - your tip is very much appreciated. Thanks Dave! /Johnnie daveb skrev: > sounds like the steam line, wand or valve has clogged. > > perhaps milk? > > dave

Hi Dave, Thanks for the feed back. The temperature of the water coming from the group and the hot water wand seemed to be normal. I think the boiler pressure was about 1,2-1,3 but I am not completely sure. However, I did not notice any changes except for the complete lack of steam. I will try again tonight and add further details. /Johnnie On 15 Nov., 10:56, "daveb" <davebobbl...@gmail.com > wrote: > hi. > > Any heat at all? any pressure? > > pressurestat. > > dave
