Subject: Problem with Moccamaster

Suddendly my technivorm is making weak coffee and seems to dripping
water only from the distal end of the spout, not spreading evenly over
the beans. I've checked the spout and there doesn't seem to be any
scale there or in the body of the machine. Any ideas?

The problem was uneven distribution from the sprayhead caused by scale
on the outside of the sprayhead. The scale was increasing the surface
tension in the chrome and making the water run to the end of the
sprayhead before falling. So if you are having channeling problems
with your Moccamaster, CLEAN THE OUTSIDE OF THE SPRAYHEAD!

I've descaled it and still weak. The water still seems to come out
mostly from the end of the sprayhead. Not sure what to do...

Have you contacted the vendor you bought the brewer from?
Technivorm has remarkably good service.
