Subject: Quick Mill Vetrano rotary with 'PID' -- orders now being accepted
Orders are now being accepted for the amazing Quick Mill Vetrano Rotary
pump machine. ALL 304 Stainless E61 group, etc. etc.

The 'PID' permits dual mode - Single boiler / HX operation. Truly
total control over temp/pressure, precision, NO clicking, sticking,
drift or other problems that beset mechanical devices.

That is correct Rick.

the user can decide whether he/she wants otpimized espresso operation
or TRUE HX operation

and no, I still consider straight HX machines not OK. but that's just
me. apologies in advance to those who take another position!

Did I miss something? Have you posted about why you now consider HX
machines OK? I'm interested in reading more about why you think this
one is suitable.

Here's just a little of what you previously said about HX machines:

"People do write / call and ask me: Can you PID my (brand X) HX
machine?? I refuse!"

"But then, I would never recommend any HX machine -- to anyone. "

"I would AVOID HX machines."

"I HAD one for six months and was GLAD to be rid of
it.since they all are optimized to make STEAM and you must fiddle and
diddle to make good coffee. "

"I would NEVER advocate an HX machine -- to anyone."

Do the mods you've made to the Quick Mill Vetrano overcome all the
concerns that made you shy away from HX machines in the past? Is this
one optimized for making coffee, rather than for making steam?

Rick

I suspect it's been optimized for making money for daveb.

I'd actually like to know how it has "Single boiler / HX operation"
And I'd like to hear Dave's response to all his anti HX comments now
that he's peddling an HX machine.

Inconsistency is the hobgoblin of truth.

It's almost laughable the way some folks are apologists for the guy & jump
on us for calling him on his BS. I wonder just how many ID's he has?

I agree with you Bernie, but why do you need to quote him?  Those of us
with kill files/filters prefer to avoid the garbage he promulgates and his
attempts to take over this NG for self promotion. It is bad enough trying
to keep track of all the different "personalities" he is using.
