Subject: Rancilio Silvia solenoid leaks

Hi there! I'm from The Netherlands. I'm the owner of a Rancilio Silvia machine. Perfect espresso! While making espresso the next thing happens: immediately after clicking the brew-button back in the neutral position, some water leaks from the solenoid. I cleaned all parts, but it's still leaking. What could be the cause? Thanks in advance for helping me. Huh? Randy's site and his posts have been enormously helpful to me, and you've made contributions, too (your new PID'd Alexia looks like a great deal to me, for example). My post had to do with the bile that the two of you exchange, it wasn't anti-Randy. Satneus, I love the idea of you drinking shots to Randy and Dave! As a further contribution to world peace I'm going to go drink a shot on the Sunnis and Shiites. Thanks a lot, you guys. I really feel relieved by now. What a clear explanation from your pictures, Randy! I'll drink a few shots on you both tonight! Good news! That is EXACTLY what it is supposed to do! It is not a leak. It is relieving the water pressure after the pump is shut off. Nothing to fix -- all is well.
