Bummer. McMaster Carr said they can't send me the tubing "due to the ever increasing complexity of United States export regulations." Oh well, I guess it's a good thing they're keeping the terrorists from enjoying their espresso.

It turns out Fairview Fittings doesn't sell any metric tubing. They referred me to a company called Hydraline, who referred me to a company in Pickering called Williams, neither of whom carry PTFE tubing.

I remembered another contact # from someome I met in a commercial supplier plumbing shop & the contact specializes in B.P.P.T., N.P.T., & Metric fittings & tubing/s. I called them & someone in that division is looking for me. It's getting a little late in the day & I don't know if he'll get back to me today, but as soon as I find out Dr. whomever., I'll gladly post my findings. Craig.

Dr. Xenon, I've found the exact proper 6mm OD 4mm ID tubing for $1.60 CANADIAN per foot & am going to pick up the tubing for myself & you if you'd like it. Working pressure is 23.5 bar. The run from Silvia's Ulka vibe pump outlet to the inlet of the OPV is ONLY 7½". I'm buying several feet & you can contact me at my email address here to get your tubing. Not bad, I just saved you 33.40! I only have a little over 1 hr to get there, so won't be replying back here for a bit. Cheers! Craig.

Your post didn't appear in Google Groups or my email box (as a matter of fact, my post about McMaster refusing to ship didn't appear either, although I posted it through GG). I will pay a visit to Fairview Fittings.
