Subject: Shot difference between E-61 prosumer machines??
How much difference people here have found in the shots produced by
different E-61 group machines with vibe pumps?

The amount of thermosyphon flow will obviously affect the idle temp of
the group so if this was made the same for different machines by
adjusting the restrictors, what else would affect the shot quality?
Boiler size? Fill height? Boiler pressure? OPV?

I'm just wondering if fairly simple adjustments can make different
E-61 machines perform similarly?

OK, I meant for HX machines (there aren't enough brew boiler machines
with E-61 groups to worry about: Brewtus, Zaffiro - any others?)

Since with HX machines, boiler pressure = > boiler temp, and I'm
allowing for this to be adjusted (along with the other parameters I
mentioned - thermosyphon flow rate, boiler fill level, OPV), is there
a shot difference between different HX machines with E-61 groups?
A larger boiler would allow for more shots to be pulled continually
but would the shot quality differ with this or other differences in
layout/construction?

Affecting the shot consistency:

The temperature!
and to a lesser degree -- the pressure.

you did not specify "single boiler" or "HX" design machines.
