Subject: Silvia Removable Dispersion Plate: New Feature?
|
My Silvia, manufactured this year, has a removable brass dispersion plate. Prior to seeing this, I thought the dispersion "set" that could be removed for cleaning consisted only of the water jet breaker, screen, and bolt. Is the removable brass plate a new feature? If so, any ideas why the design has changed? I'll attempt to post photos on a.b.c. that show the removable parts and the grouphead where the plate fits. Ray

Thank you for posting the pics to ABC. I took the liberty of resizing them and reposting but would appreciate a pic of the reverse side of the dispersion plate. It appears as though this change makes GH gasket changing and thorough area cleaning a real simple job. Eric S. I'm not sure the gasket change will be easier. Perhaps. With the plate removed there's a bit more room to work in there. > > Eric S. > > "RRansil" <ransil@invalid.com.invalid> wrote in message > news:ransil-27ACF9.14462302112006@news.isp.giganews.com... > > My Silvia, manufactured this year, has a removable brass dispersion > > plate. That would be -- I guess -- to permit the use of pods. I'll have one in here next week, then I'll know more. and share. Thanks, that would be helpful. I was surprised to see this removable plate, because the Silvia parts list doesn't show it. Incidentally, I was able to successfully post pictures of the plate and grouphead to alt.binaries.coffee. > RRansil wrote: > > My Silvia, manufactured this year, has a removable brass dispersion > > plate.
