Hi...this "formerly" informative and (sometimes) contentious website
was a terrific place to discuss all things coffee....what's with all
the spurious posts?
Have all the regulars moved somewhere else?
I'm so sad.

What you refer to as spurious posts don't show up
on my server; probably because I have it set to
filter anything crossposted to more than 4 groups.
It cuts down a lot of the noise.

Not all, but it does seem that many have taken the
bulk of their activity to web forums. Most still check
in here pretty frequently though.

Sorry, being a text kinda guy, I don't do web forums.
Once in a while I'll visit the roaster's guild board,
but even the relatively inoffensive phpBB engine under
the hood there drives me...

a) to distraction
b) crazy
c) to tears
d) to blubbering illiteracy
e) away
f) all of the above

Check the last few weeks under "bagel boiling". We are all still here
and participate. Maybe not as much as before, but if it is an
interesting thread there is plenty of dialogue.
