I "invented", if you will, a great adult beverage. First of all, the name of this drink is The Kickin' Mule. It's a two fisted drink because if you combined them one would ruin the other. Imagine standing behind a mule and having both rear hooves come at you at once. Here's the recipe: In one hand...an espresso shot, in the other... a shot of your favorite Kentucky Bourbon! Here's the cadence: Le-e-eft (right), le-e-eft (right), left - right - le-e-eft (right)! Repeat until empty and refill! The bitterness of the espresso really brings out the sweetness of the Bourbon. Don't you dare down these in one gulp like an immature college kid! Sip slowly and savor the flavor. Enjoy! ............Zeek! Disclaimer: I take no credit for this drink if you ruin it by adding sugar or anything else. And besides, sugar = hangover!

Sounds like a nice combination. As for the college kids, and all my 30+ year old social alcoholic friends for that matter, the rage nowadays is Red Bull and Vodka. But in large doses combining the stimulant caffeine and the depressant alcohold sounds like bad news to me. n*

I don't know if this will work for me. I like bourbon well enough and have Knob Creek and Bookers on hand. Problem is, my espresso isn't bitter.
