Subject: a source for parts: new rubber gaskets for Silex vac pots

A reminder for vac pot users; there is company, Casco Bay Molding, that makes exact replicas of the smaller size of gasket used in Silex & other vacuum pots. The ones they have are designed for Silex models with a handle on the upper globe, but they can be cut down for models with no handle. They will make any size gasket, but they do have a minimum production run of 300. BTW: Their web page displays a Silex with the wider gasket - this is NOT the one they stock! http://www.cb-molding.com/store/AntiqueCoffeeGasket.cfm -- Robert Harmon -- http://www.tinyurl.com/mb4uj - My coffee pages. http://www.tinyurl.com/2tnv87 - My 'Guidelines For Newbies' page. http://www.tinyurl.com/2cr3e2 - I have things for sale here.

No good over here, though since Cona rule, no Silex. -- Regards, Danny http://www.gaggia-espresso.com (a purely hobby site) (apparently bad grammar but I like it that way...)

Last time I asked, I think we could only account for 50 some gaskets. I could use a half-dozen myself. At least I can get the small ones, which is my preference for vac-pots. -- Robert Harmon -- http://www.tinyurl.com/mb4uj - My coffee pages. http://www.tinyurl.com/2tnv87 - My 'Guidelines For Newbies' page. http://www.tinyurl.com/2cr3e2 - I have things for sale here.
