I received the AeroPress I order from Sweet Maria today. My first attempt came out so strong looking that I decided to make it into a cappuccino, using a Bodum milk frother for the milk. It was the smoothest cappuccino have ever had. I am definitely a new fan of the AeroPress, I will probably be using it more than my vacuum pot. Even though I heated the milk in the microwave, it still didn't have the same taste as steamed milk. I will have to experiment to get it better. Anon

No matter what you call it, Aeropress cappuccino is a very pleasing drink, IMHO. Not like espresso cappuccino, but equally good. "D. Ross" <ross@math.hawaii.NOSPAM.edu > wrote in message news:44dda917.51874331@localhost... > Barry Jarrett <barry@rileys-coffee.com> wrote: > >

Point well taken. If I could find a way to make the frothed milk taste more like steamed milk, the Aeropress "cappuccino like" drink would be perfect. I have tried heating the milk in the microwave until it starts to boil, it still is not like steamed milk. I think steamed milk is diluted with water from the steam. I tried adding a little boiling water to the heated milk before frothing, still not as good as real steamed milk.
