Subject: Aromagrind coffee grinder
|
I've been looking for a coffee grinder, maybe a manual hand cranked one. Apart from the Zassenhaus and the Peugeot brands, I've noticed one called the Aromagrind, its brand might be Royal Doulton. Its half the price of the Peugeot, whilst the Zassenhaus is unavailable around here. Does anyone out there know if the aromagrind is any good, would it last? Whilst I'm on the topic of grinders, I'm also looking on the auction sites in case anything suitable turns up. I'm not prepared to spend a fortune. If I buy a used grinder, chances are down the line the burrs need replacing. Can someone tell me if the burrs used by grinders come in standard sizes shared by different brands, or if the burrs are always proprietary, needing to be a special order from that particular manufacturer. It would suck to buy a grinder and then find that replacement burrs are unobtainable... Thanks.
