Subject: Astoria vs. Cimbali vs. Ranchillo SuperAutomatics Expresso Machines

I am open a coffee shop with a drive thru and need a great
Superautomatic Expresso machine.

I hear the Cimbali is a good machine but I will need to buy 2 of them
for the volume.

With the Astoria model, they tell me I can get a 2 group Superauto and
will only need to buy one machine.

Does anyone out there have experience with the Astoria model?
How does it perform?

I'd love to relate my feelings about both brands, but as a
representative and factory trained technician for both, I don't feel
that a public forum is appropriate. I would be happy to discuss this
off group. I'm easy to find....al

Rancilio have recently aquired Egro, a Swiss superauto manufacturer. Don't
know anything about the Egro machines, good or bad, but if I was buying a
superauto I'd buy it from the company with the best local service
technician, and by local I mean that you ring and the tech arrives 30
minutes later.

Heh, heh. Good luck with that (technician, that is.),
.Rancilio earned my respect when it pulled their superautos earlier
for less than stellar performance, much like the Cimbali M3's in my
market. I will be speaking with Rancilio in the next couple of days
concerning their supers....al

With all due respect, I don't send people unrequested emails. And the
question was asked here. I simply gave the poster a way to discuss the
attributes off group. For what it's worth, I haven't received any
queries from the person. They must have found answers on their own, as
is wont to happen.
Hey, I notice you did too....al
