Has anyone attempted this with success?

I just don't wantto damage the grinder.

I have the "Grindz" cleaning tabs to run through it after if that helps.

My father normally uses an electric Jericho for
coffee, but he has a hand cranker that he uses for
both coffee and flax seed. If anything, the flax
is softer than coffee, so I really don't think damage
is an issue.
I think he did mention something about buildup
in the exit path though; probably something that
needs manual attention rather than grindz.

I use my cheap Coffee Mate whirly blade grinder for flax seeds. It does
a good job.
