I Love My Cimbali Cadet. There, I've admitted it.

We use the autofill a lot, after the grind is dialled in.
It only grinds 6 doses or so, which is handy for busy times
and allows the flexibility to adjust grind for changing
humidity without wasting coffee.

Anyway, I can only find the Junior. No Cadet anywhere. I
know they are discontinued. Can the Cadet autofill be
bought seperately and retrofitted to a Junior, or has anyone
seen a Cadet for sale (220v, Europe)?

I wouldn't mind playing with that Azkoyen (Swift-type)
grinder, but I'm told they are unreliable...

Hi Danny,

The "Max" replaced the Cadet. I have seen reference to another grinder
called the "Special Grinder" that MAY have replaced the Max (not sure, all
the Cimbali webpages would be an embarrassment to any espresso mfr., no less
to a company that bills itself as the finest, Cimbali). These people don't
appear to know that people might research purchases on the internet before
buying and not finding what they are looking for, might decide to buy
something else, say a Mazzer. Perhaps if a few thousand people make that
decision Cimbali will wise up. But I digress. There are erroneous webpages
out there hinting at a connical or mixed planar connical grinder in the $850
range from Cimbali, but it does not exist, certainly no where near at that
price.

I think you should look for a used Cadet or Max if you can find one. I'm
sure that they were made in 220v versions.
