Was just reading one of the Technivorm threads, and mention was made of the Clarity, and it's propensity for brewing too hot. DUH !! I've owned one of these things since they were closing out at $20 a couple of years ago, and have only used it a handful of times. Why? Because the coffee always tasted burnt and bitter. If it's a common problem, has anyone disassembled the fool thing to find an adjustment of any sort? Thanks! DS

There's nothing wrong with the brew temp; in fact that's the best thing about the machine. The only problem with the Clarity is the warming plate. If one leaves the coffee in the pot with the switch on the coffee will quickly burn. The solution for us was simple - as soon as the coffee is brewed transfer it to a prewarmed thermos. I've also heard from owners who've cracked open the machine & disconnected the warming plate. Robert (Don't knock the Clarity.)
