Hello Coffee lovers and shop owners,

I have a great way to clean the bunn or any grinders you have. Pour
about a cup of un cooked rice in each of the bunn grinders and turn
them on. All the old coffee grinds come out with it. I do this about
one a week in my coffee shop. You and also do this in those small
grinders - the ones people have at home.

That's my tip for the day,

You all have a great July 4th.

I have gotten good results with half a cup in the regular coffee
Grindmasters. The flavored coffee one may take 2 or 3 treatments.
You may want to follow that up with some beans that you don't care about to
get the rice out. I use roasting mistakes.

I've always been curious about that method - never tried it, though.
Does it matter at what grind setting you set the machine?

I'll usually set the Grindmaster to esspresso for the rice and back to drip
for the waste beans. The Fetcos, I don't bother because it's not a variable
setting from the outside and I am not taking the cover off once a week.

A Mongoose! ;-)

Just run some coffee through after the rice.

I have never tried the rice, but can verify that Urnex Grindz works
really well- see the before and after pics in my review on my website.
Grindz is now available is a smaller, consumer-friendly size.

_About_ 3/4 -1 tablespoon usually does it in a Rocky.

Grindz works nicely but at $7 or 8 a bottle it can get a lttle pricey.
Especcialy is a retail environment when you need to clean at least once a
week. A 5 pound box of generic instant rice is about $7 and even though you
use more, it pays off in the end.
I use roasting mistakes or some real cheap beans to push the rice out.
