First, let me say right off the bat that I LIKE this site - it's a great
place to pick up & pass on information about our hobby. But I cringe when I
log in to the site because I know that I'm going to waste a lot of time
waiting for connections.

They need to upgrade their server/service to get better through put. Maybe
they need to establish premier accounts for people who'd spend a few bucks
to get faster/priority service? All I do know is that what could be a great
experience is reduced to an effort because of their slow server.

Hi Rob, there's more to it than that.. I've posted about the problem/s
that TechieKid (Wayne) told me about, & Wayne, Mark has posted about it
also..

Congress and the telecom conglomerates are working on it.

I've been fortunate in that I have not experienced many problems lately
while visiting CG. My hats off to the folks behind the scenes over
there for the great work they do everyday. I don't envy them or their
task and I truly appreciate all their toils. Patience is a must these
technological days...

IMHO, if I have a problem, I talk to the man.

that's just me.

David, Don't you think Mark pays attention to posts about his site? This is
where the most bang for the buck is to be had. If I have a problem & no one
else does then the owner can ignore my post. If I have a problem & ten
others chime in with similar stories then the owners attention will USUALLY
be more focused on fixing the problem.
