Subject: De-liming coffeemaker with aluminum piping
|
My first Braun KF180 developed a pinhole leak in the heater piping. I found a second machine, since this is the best coffeemaker I've ever had[1]. More from superstition than knowledge of chemistry, I'm convinced that using vinegar to de-lime the old one gradually contributed to causing the pinhole leak. Am I barking out my blowhole, or should I find something else to de-lime with? [1] Yeah, I know, to the purist "best coffeemaker" is like "nicest garbage", but when I drag my groggy butt out of bed my Braun has a decent cuppa ready for me. -- Britney Spears' Guide to Semiconductor Physics <http://britneyspears.ac/lasers.htm >
