The posts on this topic are old, so I've been wondering if there has been any updates. Are there any excellent expresso places in Manhattan - especially midtown? I've been to Ninth Street Espresso. Pretty darn good. Nice latte art too. Yes, I know about Gimme, but Brooklyn is too far for me. Thanks, AABob

It's not midtown but Cafe Collage in the west village is awesome. They're on the NW corner of Bleeker and MacDougal, so it's close to west 4th and 1 over on houston. It's worth the trip and alot easier to get to that Ninth St.

Totally forgot about those...sorry Mike. I've been in bed for the past 3 days and not thinking clearly. Ninth Street is opening a new location, soon. At 12th St. between 3rd and 4th, if I recall correctly. Still not midtown, but a damn sight easier for most people to get to.
