So, I have the old X-1 model which apparently has the incorrect
conversion problem. Conceivably, I could just have an electrician
convert the machine back to 220V and use a voltage converter, right?
Second, the screw for the screen is nearly impossible to access (I'd
like to clean it), any ideas?
Thx,
Tom

Howdy Tom!

Don't take this the wrong way, but the best course of action would be to
clean it up & sell it on eBay & use the proceeds to buy yourself a less
problematic machine like a Gaggia Espresso.

I'm serious; the FF line was designed to look good by artists & architects
not mechanical engineers. It will look great on your counter but you'll
hate using it.
