I've two Gaggia Espressos I'm working on & I'm confused (again). One has a standard-type Gaggia steam valve & the other has a 'self-priming valve assembly'. Maybe I've seen a self-primer before & just didn't notice, but this is the first time I can recall one. It seems like a wasted effort since priming a Gaggia has never been a problem for me (and I always operate under the theory that if I can do something anyone can). I'm curious which one is the newest version & if anyone would care to venture an opinion about it's relative worth? The machine with the self-primer was leaking at the barb fitting (of course) of the self-priming water connection & since I have a few of the old type valves I was considering swapping them out. http://home.earthlink.net/~r_harmon/espressosteamvalves.gif -- Robert (change is good for us, you go first) Harmon http://tinyurl.com/pou2y http://tinyurl.com/fkd6r

What about the different steam valves Dave, which is newer & which do you think is better? C'mon, I like that "duck and cover." It reminds me of the cute little turtle and I hear the bouncy jingle in my head. Will Climbing down under the desk and tucking head between knees.
