Subject: Gaggia Evolution - empty reservoir whe not in use?

I was wondering is there is any problem with leaving water in the
reservoir when not in use, maybe the humidity accelerating wear and
corrosion of the pipes and valves inside?
Also, after using the milk frothing wand is it better to open it and
let all the steam out? Or just leave it closed?
Thanks for the advice

Is it OK to turn the machine off after frothing, and then to pull
enough water through so that there's a stream of water as soon as you
turn it on again?

How long are you going to leave it idle? If for months? then drain
everything -- including the boiler. other wise don't bother

after frothing, ALWAYS turn on the pump and purge all the air / steam
out until you have a stream of just water. -- NOT good to run the
boiler partly dry.
