Any recommendations for Green Decaf Beans? The best I have found so far are from Cafe Vivace. (Can't seem to get Sweet Maria's Donkey Decaf to turn out well.) Roasting with a Caffe Rosto and then using a Capresso C1000 into milk.

Royal Coffee in SF, Ca. is a green been brokerage. They have an unusual process for decaf. Instead of taking poor quality coffees and decafeinating them, they take the good coffees they have a send them to Vancouver BC to be done. I think burmancoffee.com has these coffees referred to as "Royal Select" Greg wrote: > Any recommendations for Green Decaf Beans? > > The best I have found so far are from Cafe Vivace. > (Can't seem to get Sweet Maria's Donkey Decaf to turn out well.) > > Roasting with a Caffe Rosto and then using a Capresso C1000 into milk.

I'll second the Royal select. Some of my customers used to swear that i was giving them regular instead of decaf. Decaf whole bean sales are almost 10% of our business now. [...] For clarification (and so you won't be confused looking for Ryal Coffee), they're not located in San Francisco. Their office is in Emeryville and their warehouse is in Oakland. Here's their website: http://www.royalcoffee.com/ . I've never had any of their decaf coffee, but I can vouch for the excellent quality on their non-decaf varieties. > Greg wrote: >> Any recommendations for Green Decaf Beans? >> >> The best I have found so far are from Cafe Vivace. >> (Can't seem to get Sweet Maria's Donkey Decaf to turn out well.) >> >> Roasting with a Caffe Rosto and then using a Capresso C1000 into milk. >

Royal Coffee, Emeryville CA www.royalcoffee.com has coffee toll processed by Descaffeinadores Mexicanos S.A de C.V., Veracruz Mexico www.descamex.com . The Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company, Burnaby BC Canada www.swisswater.com is in a suburb of Vancouver Canada, and produces the patented process Swiss Water Decaffeinated coffee. Most specialty coffee processors decaffeinate fine quality Arabica coffee. Most specialty roasters and retail green coffee sources bring fine coffees to a waiting public. -Donald Schoenholt
