Subject: Grinder purchase Suggestions / coarse

... just thought I'd take an easy out and get the $ 60 krups,
but the " Coarse" grind ( for French Press ) was medium at best,
Not good result.
Can you / anyone, suggest an acceptable grinder in the $100? range?

affordably priced,
so the question is... Which specific model as there are several for
each one.. ( mainly for coarse for FP )

Solis Maestro - around $85 from Costco.
I've used it from turkish to french press with good results.

"Coarse" is too coarse for FP. Grind finer and brew shorter for a
superior cup.
http://www.sweetmarias.com/brewinstr.frenchpress.html has some useful
tips
A good grinder makes less fines and allows a finer FP grind with less
mudd.
