Subject: Help Please... I am asking for opinions on which coffees to order, YOUR INPUT IS REQUESTED!

Hi everyone.
I am about to place an order with the most popular Cafe bar in Montreal,
they roast and sell to the public as well as serve it prepared in the cafe.
This is NOT an ad for them, but a request for some advice for a coffee
lover, but still a novice.

Here is a link to their available options
http://www.cafe-union.com/cart/customer/home.php?cat=3&sc=CAD&sl=US

I am planning on choosing 6 or so different blends to try a small amount of,
please give me your input.
This will be ground in a Baratza Virtuoso grinder and brewed in a drip
machine, no espresso for me!
I know that my equipment is not as good as some, but I have to start
somewhere!

BTW, The specialty coffees are not on the option list for this month, next
time... you can however let me know which you would choose.

Let me know your top 5-8 or so!
I really look forward to your input.

There is not much of a way to answer that. Why not share what you like
now if you want answers to such questions. it is LITERALLY a matter
or personal taste, and being a subjective subject, the only person who
can answer the questions you posed is... you!

Son.. I say, Son. Ya might as well, I say ya might as well ask us what
underwear you like..

lol, I was expecting that!

I was hoping someone would have some input as to the most well renowned 5 of
the options or something!

I guess I will choose from the "Union Blends" and the "Premium African" for
starters.
Any input is appreciated as to how to select.

One good question that is less subjective is how to select "roast" from
light, med. or dark.
example:

What should I expect from each in regards to the same beans?

Thanks.

I actually forgot which name I had last week, so I made up a new one.
It is not like any of you know me, (I am not a regular), I did not think it
really mattered.

Sorry if that is a bad thing in this group.

BUT, the point is the same, please help me out with my roast question...:

One good question that is less subjective is how to select "roast" from
light, med. or dark.
example:
http://www.cafe-union.com/cart/customer/product.php?productid=18784&cat=24&page=1

What should I expect from each in regards to the same beans?

I have made my choices, but if you have some input, please let me know!

*The roast question would be appreciated if you could answer for me though.

I will order:
Rainbow
Viennese
Arabica
House Blend

I just need to know the "roast" info so I can select properly!
Thanks

With a bogus email addy, I am avoiding spam, very simple.
How an email address changes anything, I don't comprehend.
I am asking you to respond to a newsgroup, not my email - so what is the
problem???!!!!
