When I my wife and I bought our first house (closed end of June) the
seller left a popcorn popper and some green beans behind. I have done
3 roasts, first tasted nothing like coffee (no idea how that happened),
the second tasted like burning (way over-roasted) and the third came
off almost like coffee. I mentioned to my wife that I may need to get
some fresh green beans (since the ones he left were at least a year and
a half old, and they were kept in open air) and here is how the
conversation went:
"I may need to get some fresh green beans."
"You should go to Earthfare, they have good green beans."
"Earthfare sells green beans?!?! I never knew."
"Why wouldn't they? They are a grocery store!"
(laughter) "No...green coffee beans."
"Oh yeah...they don't have those."
Entertaining...looks like the order will go into SweetMarias soon.
