Subject: Ibfo about Espresimo Grindmaster espresso maker?

I ran across one at a yard sale. A 2 head commercial machine. I
couldn't get a good look at it, it had stuff piled on it.

Is this machine worth pursuing? Are parts available?

It supposedly works, and "has everything" Asking price is $500.

Is it what you need?
Are you starting a business?
do you have water and enuf electricity? space?

They do not sell a lot of them -- and IMHO, most Italian ones are
better.

mmm, thought so. Never, ever seen one! although mine is by no means
an exhautive survey, just impressions gathered over time -- seeing the
italian ones working and the domestics like bunn, -- broken.

Bunn espresso machines were very unreliable but I was under the
impression that they were of Spansh manufacture.

Dave,
There is no support in my market. That explains the lack of presence
here. Owners of them used to bring them to my garage in Kissimmee for
repair in my spare time. I was not impressed. Their grinders are more
widely used and have engendered some respect....al

Check the voltage. Many of the Grindmaster machines I have worked on
are 110V conversions. For high volume applications, they are hard put
to keep up....al

It'd be overkill for home use, but I thought I might refurb it, play
with it a while, & sell or trade eventually.

Sounds like I'd be better off getting a better known Italian machine.

If anybody is interested, I can give you contact info. It's in Central
NJ, near Freehold.

I see you are in pissing people off mood again, Dave. Perfectly
reasonable answers by David (who knows more about coffee and machines
than you are ever likely to, and who is a measured and polite
participant here, whom you insist on calling "Ross" - do you know how
annoying that is?), and what's the problem with anyone owing any
machine, however impractical it may be - not everyone wants a domestic
machine like a Pid'ed Silvia. I would mention to the OP that any
machine in the bottom of a pile of junk may turn out to be an
interesting project, but probably worth a lot less than the asking
price. If I fancied playing with a relatively unknown machine I'd be
offering $150 or less. Al's comments notwhistanding.
