Subject: I'm in love with my thermos

After all these years of various thermoses and travel mugs, these last
months have been true love.

It's the Nissan backback bottle: it's a totally leak proof thermos bottle
that somehow works perfectly as a travel mug as well. And it's easier to
clean and keeps coffee hotter than anything I've ever used.

Thanks to Tom for turning me on to it (and selling it to me) over at
Sweetmarias. It's also on Amazon (B00025DYL0).

500)

Hope this helps others who have struggled with this issue...

Cordo

Thanks Cordo,
I'll put it on my list of gifts to give.

I wish it were cheaper, though, but I'm hoping it lasts longer.

Best,

Thanks, Cordo... you just sold one for Tom, for Jill's birthday. Sounds
perfect.

I haven't needed to use a thermos device for my coffee much but I have
started last year taking a small one out occassionally - even to sit down
the park and be goalie over some park bench.

Anyway, I now have this ss bulletlike thermos thing which i am well pleased
with.

And the point of this story is that EVERY time i use it I remember Ted
praising some similar device a few years ago on alt.c becuase it fitted in
his briefcase and didn't leak.

The Beeb radio have been doing an extensive series on memory recently which
opened my eyes a bit, and i know its not your specialist subject, but tell
me - am I really getting forgetful and suffering from one of those
complicated memory tricks - or did you really write such a post?

Ken

I did. And about a year later, it started to leak. Which is charming, in
a sense, as it appears that your memory of me is more durable than the
thermos. Every day, by the by, I use a manual plastic grinder that you
said that you used on your boat for coffee. I hunted it down on your
suggestion. It was a fine coffee grinder... but it is, bar none, the
best, fastest and most attention getting pepper grinder I have ever
used. Not a meal goes by that I don't wonder how you and the gang are
getting on.

I hope your thermos doesn't leak.

ps: Speaking of memories, they flood back when, about once a week, on a
whim, I pull a shot into my treasured Baltimore Aquarium shotglass.

I love it, too. Just poured myself another cup of Terroir's Colombian
from mine. The top seems overengineered but it works.

Cordo,
I've had this item for over three years now, and I couldn't agree with
you more - it's absolutely fabulous. I've used it five days a week for
almost 170 weeks (about 850 times), and I have not had a single problem
with it. It's solid, convenient and the perfect size.
