Subject: Kona Coffee Proposal for Blends


Tomorrow, the Hawaii County (where Kona resides) Council will consider
the following resolution which will then be sent on to the State (and at
some point we hope, the Federal level).

Public testimony will be taken at 9:00 am for Resolution 18-06,
Recommending "Kona Coffee Blend" contain a minimum 75% Kona Coffee

Resolution to the Hawai'i State Legislature to Revise and Clarify
Hawai'i Revised Statutes Section 486­120.6, Recommending that Any Coffee
Labeled "Kona Coffee Blend" Shall Contain a Minimum of 75% Kona Coffee
and Shall be Labeled Accordingly. Intr. by:Ms. Ford

Most if not all readers of this newsgroup are knowledgeable enough to
know what a blend is vrs pure coffee, so I post the above as an FYI.

We will be giving testimony in support of this valuable Resolution so
please say prayers or ask the universe to be kind to us or whatever
calling for positive results that you can make<g >. Donald Schoenholt
